🗡 Thuya Burl Damascus Tanto – Hand Engraved Bolster

“Where Craft Meets Character”

Some knives come together in a way that just feels complete — this is one of those pieces.

The blade is forged from Damascus steel, with a bold pattern that runs the length of the tanto-style profile. That shape isn’t just for looks — it gives the blade a strong, reinforced tip and a clean, decisive cutting edge, built for precision and durability.

The handle is Thuya burl, a wood known for its deep color, tight grain, and natural figuring. It’s the kind of material that doesn’t need much help to stand out, but in Jeff’s hands, it’s shaped and finished to bring out every bit of character it has to offer. No two pieces of Thuya ever come out the same, and that’s part of what makes this knife one of a kind.

At the front, a nickel silver bolster has been hand engraved, adding a layer of detail that ties the whole piece together. Along the spine, custom filework runs clean and consistent, framed by a green felt liner that adds just enough contrast to catch the eye without taking away from the natural tones of the wood.

Loveless fasteners secure the handle, and a lanyard hole at the base gives it practical carry options.

This is a knife that stands out — not because it tries to, but because every part of it was done with intention.

Maker’s Note

“Some pieces are about the details — how everything fits together and feels in the hand. This one was built to carry that balance from front to back.”
