“A Piece of the Past, Built to Last”

Some materials carry a story before the work even begins. This knife is one of them.

The handle is crafted from stabilized fossilized mammoth tusk — material that’s been on this earth for thousands of years. Its natural lines, dark veining, and subtle variation make every piece completely unique. Paired with red felt liners, it brings out both contrast and depth without losing the character that makes it special.

The blade is forged from 416 layers of Damascus steel, giving it strength, edge retention, and a pattern that flows from tip to tang. At 4 inches, the blade strikes a balance between control and capability — sized right for real use while still carrying presence.

Along the spine, Jeff added detailed filework along with a ridged thumb section — a functional feature that gives a secure, no-slip grip exactly where it’s needed. It’s the kind of detail you don’t fully appreciate until it’s in your hand.

Finished with a lanyard hole for carry options, this knife brings together history, craftsmanship, and purpose in a way that few materials allow.

This isn’t just a knife — it’s a piece meant to be kept, used, and passed down.

Maker’s Note

“Some materials come with a history of their own. My job is to shape it into something that carries that story forward.”
